Frames can be damaged through age or accidents

Age dries out binding agents used in the original construction of antique decorative frames. The moulding flakes or becomes detached from the wood support. We treat the wood, strengthen the remaining moulding and rebuild the missing moulding. The finish is gilded or painted to match the existing frame or re-gilded to suit your own preference.

Accidents in the home or during transportation are often the cause for frame restoration. The structural corners of the frame can be rejoined and moulding rebuilt. Damaged or missing moulding is remoulded and then re-gilded.

During: loose parts bonded, some reconstruction

After: with a lustrous new, long-lasting finish

All repairs are conducted by hand, by our skilled staff
